On one occasion Aristotle was asked, “In what manner the educated people are different from those who are uneducated”? “As much’ said he, ‘as the living are to the dead”. Believing in this Rama Devi Memorial Educational Society has taken up the challenge to educate people irrespective of their background. It is my ardent belief that the purpose of providing education to women is to dispel darkness and ignorance of the entire family. The womenfolk are deprived of the benefits of higher education because of non-availability of colleges in near by locations.
Years back there was only one degree college which was grossly inadequate for the ever growing city of Noida. Moreover, the rural and conservative mindsets of this populace is still apprehensive of sending their teenaged daughters to a co-educational college. With an aim to fulfill this void, Basanti Devi Memorial Educational Society was successful in establishing a degree college for women at Noida to cater for the inescapable need of the higher education for the girls of Bulandshahr. We reiterate the conviction of making available to womenfolk of Bulandshahr, the best of academic facilities. Our endeavour to make women of this region self-confident and self-reliant, so that they face challenges in future successfully.
For us at Basanti Devi Memorial Educational Society education is an endless journey, an adventure, a challenge and a constant endeavour to set new parameters for future. We set small milestones each year and periodically assess our accomplishments and steer forward again to meet the next goals. Within a short span of time Basanti Devi Degree College is being hailed as one of the upcoming reputed B.Ed. College in U.P. I can foresee a still brighter future lying ahead with my team of committed teachers, the members of management and most of all the intelligent and sensitive students.
